Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of warm water
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 packet of active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 packet of active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of olive oil, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 10-inch rope and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese, 3 cloves of minced garlic, and 1/4 cup of melted butter. Brush the mixture over the breadsticks.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle the breadsticks with 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
