- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 24 round dumpling wrappers
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground pork, 1/4 cup of finely chopped green onions, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of minced fresh ginger, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold the dumplings in half and press the edges together to seal.
- Arrange the dumplings in a single layer in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Make sure to leave some space between each dumpling to prevent sticking.
- Fill a wok or large skillet with about 2 inches of water and bring to a boil. Place the steamer basket over the boiling water, cover, and steam the dumplings for 12-15 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.
- Carefully remove the steamer basket from the wok and let the dumplings cool for a few minutes before serving.
