- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the minced garlic and grated parmesan cheese.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle.
- Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter, if desired.
