Mexican

Extra Cheesy Nachos have a rich history dating back to the 1940s when Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya created the original nachos at a restaurant in Piedras Negras, Mexico. The dish gained popularity in the US in the 1970s and has since become a beloved staple in Tex-Mex cuisine. The key to perfect Extra Cheesy Nachos lies in the quality of the cheese, with a blend of cheddar, Monterey Jack, and queso blanco creating a gooey, indulgent topping. Today, the best Extra Cheesy Nachos can be found in Tex-Mex restaurants across Texas, where chefs add their own unique twists with toppings like jalapeños, guacamole, and sour cream. For a homemade version, ensuring the chips are crispy and the cheese is melted to perfection is essential.
