Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet.
  • In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Gradually add 1 cup of water and 1/4 cup of olive oil to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, then divide it into 20 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  • On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll each ball into a thin, round disc about 6 inches in diameter.
  • Place the discs on the prepared baking sheet and prick each one several times with a fork to prevent air bubbles from forming.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is lightly golden and crisp.
  • Allow the Eucharist bread to cool completely before serving during the religious ceremony.
