Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  • In a separate bowl, heat the milk, water, and 2 tablespoons of melted butter until warm (120-130°F).
  • Add the warm liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and then add the egg. Mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the remaining flour to form a soft dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 6-8 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • Punch the dough down and turn it onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it into a 14x7-inch rectangle.
  • Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the dough. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the short side.
  • Place the dough seam side down in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Cover and let it rise until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Brush the top of the loaf with the remaining melted butter.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cover loosely with foil if the top browns too quickly.
  • Remove from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!
