Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 sub rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness, then season with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the cooked chicken breasts to a baking sheet and top each with marinara sauce and a slice of mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- While the chicken is baking, lightly toast the sub rolls in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
- Assemble the subs by placing a chicken breast on each roll and spooning any remaining marinara sauce over the top.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
