Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and jalapenos to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.
  • Season the steak and vegetables with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Lay out an egg roll wrapper and place a slice of provolone cheese in the center.
  • Spoon a portion of the steak and vegetable mixture on top of the cheese.
  • Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with a little water.
  • In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
  • Carefully place the egg rolls in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove the egg rolls from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
