Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of warm water
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 packet of active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of melted butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 packet of active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 6-inch rope.
- Combine 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
- Flatten each rope and place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center. Fold the dough over the cheese and pinch the edges to seal. Roll it into a smooth rope again.
- Place the stuffed breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of melted butter, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Brush the baked breadsticks with the garlic butter mixture. Serve warm and enjoy!
