Ingredients
- 4 flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Place 2 flour tortillas on a clean work surface.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese evenly over each tortilla.
- Place the remaining 2 flour tortillas on top of the cheese to create 2 quesadillas.
- In a large skillet, heat 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Carefully place one quesadilla in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the quesadilla and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and repeat the cooking process with the remaining quesadilla, using the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Cut each quesadilla into wedges and serve hot with your favorite toppings such as salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
