Instructions

  • In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add the pineapple chunks, naranjilla fruit, plantains, sweet potato, panela, cinnamon stick, and cloves to the pot.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a small bowl, mix the corn flour with 1/2 cup of water to make a slurry.
  • Slowly pour the corn flour slurry into the pot, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Add the raisins and continue to simmer for an additional 10 minutes, or until the champús has thickened slightly.
  • Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves from the pot.
  • Serve the champús hot, garnished with chopped pineapple if desired.
