Almond Chai Tea

Ingredients
- 2 cups of water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 whole cloves
- 4 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 cup almond milk
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and black pepper to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the spices and tea simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the chai tea steep for 3 minutes.
- Strain the chai tea into mugs, discarding the spices and tea bags.
- Pour 1/4 cup of almond milk into each mug, stirring gently to combine.
- Serve the almond chai tea hot and enjoy!
