Instructions

  • Dredge the seasoned catfish steaks in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the catfish steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the diced potatoes. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add the minced garlic, milk, and butter to the pot with the potatoes. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
