Brasciole, a classic Italian dish, has a rich history dating back to the southern regions of Italy. This savory dish consists of thinly sliced beef, rolled with a filling of cheese, breadcrumbs, and herbs, then simmered in a flavorful tomato sauce. The addition of extra cheese adds a delightful creaminess to the dish, elevating its flavor profile. Renowned chefs in Italy and Italian-American restaurants have perfected the art of making Brasciole, each adding their unique twist to the recipe. The best version of this dish can be found in traditional Italian trattorias in regions like Sicily and Calabria. The key to a delicious Brasciole lies in the quality of the cheese and the tenderness of the beef. For a famous alternative method, some chefs use a combination of different cheeses such as mozzarella, parmesan, and pecorino romano to create a decadent filling. Whether enjoyed in a cozy Italian eatery or homemade with love, Brasciole with extra cheese is a true culinary delight.
