  • 2 tomatoes, diced

  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Season the beef slices with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Saute the onions, jalapenos, and garlic for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they start to break down.
  • Return the beef slices to the skillet and stir in the fresh cilantro. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  • To make the guacamole, scoop the avocados into a bowl and mash them with a fork. Stir in the lime juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the Bistec a la Mexicana with a generous dollop of guacamole on the side.
