Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the thinly sliced beef steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and sauté the sliced onion, diced tomatoes, and sliced jalapeno peppers for 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir in the chopped cilantro, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked through and the flavors are well combined.
  • Serve the Bistec a la Mexicana hot with rice, beans, and warm tortillas. Enjoy!
