Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- Bamboo skewers, soaked in water
- Peanut sauce for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 teaspoon ground coriander, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, and 1/4 teaspoon turmeric.
- Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated beef slices onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
- Grill the beef skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- In a small saucepan, heat 1/4 cup coconut milk over low heat. Serve the beef satay with the warm peanut sauce for dipping.
