Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine 1/2 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Dredge the thinly sliced beef in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef slices to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the sliced mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes, until the mushrooms are golden brown.
- Pour in 1/2 cup of Marsala wine and 1/2 cup of beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce and thicken slightly.
- Stir in 1/4 cup of heavy cream and return the beef to the skillet, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley before serving.
- Serve the Beef Marsala hot over cooked pasta or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
