  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of milk
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Mexican

Agua de Horchata is a traditional Mexican beverage with a rich history dating back to the ancient Aztecs. This refreshing drink is made from rice, water, sugar, and cinnamon, creating a creamy and subtly sweet flavor. Horchata has evolved over the centuries, with each region in Mexico adding its own unique twist to the recipe. Some chefs infuse the drink with almonds or melon seeds for added depth, while others incorporate vanilla or lime for a refreshing kick. Today, the best Agua de Horchata can be found in the bustling markets of Mexico City or the charming streets of Oaxaca, where vendors expertly blend the perfect combination of ingredients. Whether enjoyed alongside spicy street food or as a standalone treat, Agua de Horchata continues to be a beloved symbol of Mexican culinary heritage.
