- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 large whole wheat tortillas
- 1 cup spicy hummus

Instructions
- In a food processor, combine 1 can of chickpeas, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 3 cloves minced garlic, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Pulse until mixture is coarsely ground.

- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll up tightly. Cut in half and serve immediately.
The Vegan Falafel Wrap with spicy hummus has a rich history rooted in Middle Eastern cuisine. Originating in Egypt, falafel is a popular street food made from ground chickpeas or fava beans, mixed with herbs and spices, then deep-fried to perfection. The addition of spicy hummus adds a fiery kick to the traditional wrap, elevating its flavor profile. Renowned chefs like Yotam Ottolenghi have popularized this dish, incorporating their own unique twists. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in bustling markets and food stalls across the Middle East, where the falafel is crispy, the hummus is spicy, and the wrap is warm and soft. The key to a perfect Vegan Falafel Wrap lies in the crispy falafel, flavorful hummus, and fresh, soft pita bread. For a famous alternative method, some chefs opt to bake the falafel for a healthier twist without compromising on taste. Whether enjoyed as a quick street food or a sit-down meal, the Vegan Falafel Wrap with spicy hummus continues to delight food enthusiasts worldwide.
