Ingredients
- 1 lb of lamb or chicken, thinly sliced
- 4 pita bread
- 1 cup of Greek yogurt
- 1 cucumber, grated and drained
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of fresh mint, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup of feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup of Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of Greek yogurt, grated and drained cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, chopped mint, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. This is your tzatziki sauce.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced lamb or chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- While the meat is cooking, warm the pita bread in a toaster or oven.
