Ingredients
- 1 lb of spaghetti
- 24 oz of vegetarian meatballs
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) of crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp of dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Add the vegetarian meatballs to the skillet, making sure they are fully submerged in the sauce. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are heated through.
- Divide the cooked spaghetti among serving plates. Top with the vegetarian meatballs and sauce.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve with grated Parmesan cheese on the side.
