Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup diced pineapple
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 4 slices of pepper jack cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 1 lb of ground beef, 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of diced pineapple, 1/4 cup of diced red bell pepper, 1/4 cup of diced red onion, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, and a drizzle of teriyaki sauce.
- Serve the tropical burgers immediately and enjoy!
