The Inside-Out Burger with Fried Egg
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 large eggs
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles
Instructions
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix together 1 pound of ground beef, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
- In a separate non-stick skillet, fry 4 eggs to your desired level of doneness.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then adding a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a cheese-topped patty, and a fried egg. Spread 1 tablespoon of ketchup on the top half of each bun and place it on top of the egg.
- Serve the burgers with a side of sliced pickles and enjoy!
