Thai Basil Tofu

Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red chili, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and 1 thinly sliced red chili. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cubed tofu to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned.
- Add 1 sliced bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the tofu and vegetables. Stir to combine.
- Add 1/4 cup of chicken or vegetable broth to the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has slightly thickened.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in 1 cup of fresh basil leaves until wilted.
- Serve the Thai basil tofu over steamed rice and enjoy!
