  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth

  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Set aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and 1 thinly sliced red chili. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the cubed tofu to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Add 1 sliced bell pepper to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the tofu and vegetables. Stir to combine.
  • Add 1/4 cup of chicken or vegetable broth to the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has slightly thickened.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and stir in 1 cup of fresh basil leaves until wilted.
  • Serve the Thai basil tofu over steamed rice and enjoy!
