Ingredients
- 1 cup tamarind pulp
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 lime, juiced
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of tamarind pulp and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tamarind mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the pulp to extract all the liquid. Discard the pulp.
- Stir in 1/2 cup of sugar until dissolved.
- Add the juice of 1 lime to the pitcher and mix well.
- Pour in 2 cups of cold water and stir to combine.
- Refrigerate the tamarindo agua fresca until chilled, about 1-2 hours.
- Serve over ice and enjoy!
