Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, stir together 2 3/4 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter and 1 1/2 cups of white sugar until smooth. Beat in 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  • Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and roll in 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Place on lined cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let cool on wire racks, and enjoy!
