Stouffer's Lasagna has a rich history dating back to the 1920s when Abraham and Mahala Stouffer opened a small restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio. Their delicious homemade lasagna quickly gained popularity, and in 1924, they started selling frozen meals to local grocery stores. The Stouffer's brand grew, and their lasagna became a household favorite across the United States. Today, Stouffer's is known for its hearty layers of pasta, seasoned meat, and creamy cheese, all topped with a savory tomato sauce. While the original Stouffer's recipe remains a classic, many chefs and home cooks have put their own spin on this beloved dish, adding ingredients like spinach, mushrooms, or different types of cheese. For those seeking the best version of this dish, Italy is the ultimate destination, where authentic lasagna is made with fresh pasta, Bolognese sauce, and creamy bechamel. Whether enjoying the convenience of Stouffer's frozen lasagna or savoring a homemade creation, this timeless comfort food continues to bring people together around the dinner table.
