Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook 8 oz of spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add 3 cloves of minced garlic and 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the red pepper flakes are sizzling.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of tomato sauce and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce is heated through.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the spicy tomato sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Divide the spicy pasta among serving plates and sprinkle with 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
