Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced jalapenos
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 pound of ground beef, 1/4 cup diced jalapenos, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a patty on each bottom bun, then top with 1 tablespoon of sliced pickles, 1 tablespoon of sliced red onion, and 1/4 cup of shredded lettuce.
- Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
