Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the onions and peppers until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, dried oregano, and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return the cooked Italian sausage to the skillet and stir to combine all the ingredients.
  • Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
