Ingredients
- 8 oz wide egg noodles
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup of cottage cheese, 1/2 cup of sour cream, 3 eggs, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh dill, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the cheese mixture and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of breadcrumbs and 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the kugel.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the kugel is set and the breadcrumb topping is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
