Ingredients
- 2 pounds of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound of baby red potatoes
- 4 ears of corn, shucked and cut into thirds
- 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 lemons, halved
- 4 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
- 2 teaspoons of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 4 cups of water
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the boiling water.
- Add the potatoes, onion, and garlic to the pot and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add the smoked sausage and corn to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the butter until melted.
- Squeeze the lemon halves over the shrimp boil.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer the shrimp boil to a large serving platter or bowl.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
