Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped tuna, panko breadcrumbs, green onions, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into 4 patties.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tuna patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • In a small saucepan, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, 1 tsp sesame oil, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the glaze thickens. Brush the glaze over the cooked tuna patties.
  • Meanwhile, place the cubed potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add the butter, milk, and wasabi paste to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
