Instructions

  • Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the scallops to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and opaque. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
  • In the same skillet, add the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and orange zest. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and well combined with the glaze.
  • Return the scallops to the skillet and toss to coat with the orange glaze.
