Salmon Skin Chews with a honey mustard marinade have a rich history rooted in the Pacific Northwest, where the region's abundant salmon supply inspired chefs to get creative with this flavorful fish. The dish gained popularity in the 1980s when renowned chef, Julia Child, featured a recipe for it on her cooking show. Today, the best version of this dish can be found in upscale seafood restaurants in Seattle and Portland, where chefs expertly marinate the salmon skin in a tangy honey mustard blend before crisping it to perfection. The key to getting this dish right lies in the balance of sweet honey and tangy mustard, creating a delectable treat that's both savory and satisfying.
