  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Italian

Salmon and penne vodka is a delectable Italian-American dish that combines the rich flavors of salmon with the creamy, tomato-infused vodka sauce and al dente penne pasta. The dish has its roots in the Italian-American communities of the United States, where it has become a popular choice on many restaurant menus. Renowned chefs like Lidia Bastianich and Mario Batali have put their own spin on this classic dish, adding their unique flair to the recipe. The key to a perfect salmon and penne vodka lies in the quality of the salmon, the richness of the vodka sauce, and the perfectly cooked penne pasta. For an authentic experience, head to Italian restaurants in New York City or Boston, where you can savor the best versions of this dish. Alternatively, home cooks can experiment with alternative methods, such as using smoked salmon or adding a touch of fresh dill to elevate the flavors. Whether enjoyed at a cozy Italian trattoria or prepared at home, salmon and penne vodka is a dish that never fails to impress with its harmonious blend of flavors.
