Instructions

  • Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with the barbecue sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and form them into burger patties.
  • Brush the grill with vegetable oil and place the burger patties on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  • While the burgers are cooking, cook the bacon in a separate pan until crispy.
  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with hot sauce to create a spicy mayo.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger patty and allow it to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading the spicy mayo on the bottom bun, then adding the cheeseburger patty, crispy bacon, and a handful of crispy fried onions. Top with the top bun and serve immediately.
