Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the cubed white American cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the diced green chilies, diced tomatoes, diced onions, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt.
  • Continue to cook and stir until the queso blanco is heated through and all the ingredients are well combined, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the queso blanco to a serving bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips or vegetables for dipping.
