Ingredients
- 1 lb of white American cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup of whole milk
- 1/2 cup of diced green chilies
- 1/4 cup of diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of diced onions
- 1/4 teaspoon of cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the cubed white American cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and smooth.
- Stir in the diced green chilies, diced tomatoes, diced onions, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt.
- Continue to cook and stir until the queso blanco is heated through and all the ingredients are well combined, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer the queso blanco to a serving bowl and serve immediately with tortilla chips or vegetables for dipping.
