Instructions

  • Add the sliced mushrooms to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the marinade.
  • Spread the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through the cooking time.
  • Remove the mushrooms from the oven and use two forks to shred them into smaller pieces, resembling pulled pork.
  • Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on a skillet until lightly golden.
  • Divide the pulled mushrooms evenly among the bottom halves of the buns. Add any optional toppings if desired, then cover with the top halves of the buns.
