Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch. Pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with vegetable oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  • While the fries are baking, heat the gravy in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
  • Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and divide them among serving plates or a large serving platter.
  • Sprinkle the cheese curds over the hot fries, then pour the hot gravy over the top, allowing the cheese to melt slightly.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the classic poutine!
