Crispy Pork Belly

Ingredients
- 2 lbs pork belly, skin on
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Score the pork belly skin with a sharp knife in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp rice vinegar, 2 tbsp honey, 1 tsp five-spice powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- Place the pork belly, skin side up, in a roasting pan. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the pork belly, making sure to coat it evenly.
- Cover the roasting pan with foil and roast in the preheated oven for 1.5 hours.
- After 1.5 hours, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Roast for an additional 30 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the pork is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy your crispy pork belly!
