  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 4 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup green olives, sliced
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup capers
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/4 cup capers
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onions and minced garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Once the beef is browned, add the diced bell peppers and tomatoes to the skillet, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the green olives, raisins, capers, and tomato paste, and mix well.
  • Pour in the beef broth and season with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine all the ingredients.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the picadillo simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • Once the picadillo is ready, serve hot with rice or tortillas. Enjoy!
