Pear Chocolate Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Stir in 1 cup of rolled oats and reduce heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the diced pears, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to the oatmeal. Stir well to combine.
- Continue to cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the pears are tender and the oatmeal is creamy.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and divide the oatmeal into two serving bowls.
- Top each bowl with 1/8 cup of chopped dark chocolate and 1/8 cup of chopped almonds.
