Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups of old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup of honey
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, mix together 2 1/2 cups of old-fashioned oats, 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter, 1/3 cup of honey, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
- Gently fold in 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the granola bars to cool completely in the pan before using the parchment paper to lift them out and cut into bars.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
