Peach Almond Galette with Honey Drizzle
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 4 ripe peaches, sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup almond flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your hands to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Slowly add the ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough comes together. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Arrange the sliced peaches in the center of the dough, leaving a 2-inch border. Fold the edges of the dough over the peaches, pleating as needed.
- Brush the edges of the dough with the beaten egg and sprinkle the sliced almonds over the peaches.
- Bake the galette for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the peaches are tender.
- Remove the galette from the oven and drizzle the honey over the peaches while it's still warm.
- Allow the galette to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
