Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 4 halibut fillets (6 oz each)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp capers, drained
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season the halibut fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the halibut fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the capers and chopped parsley, then remove the skillet from the heat.
- Place the cooked halibut fillets on serving plates and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top.
- Serve the pan-seared halibut with the lemon-caper sauce immediately, and enjoy!
