Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the orange juice mixture and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the simmering sauce, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, turning to coat in the orange ginger glaze. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the chicken through and allow the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
- Serve the Orange Ginger Chicken with steamed rice or vegetables. Enjoy!
