Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups of old-fashioned oats, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

  • Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  • In another bowl, mix together 2 cups of diced apples, 1/4 cup of maple syrup, 1/4 cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Spread the apple mixture over the oat layer in the pan.
  • Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the apple layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
