Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 3 ounces of semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of strawberry puree

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of whole milk, and 1/4 cup of sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. This will be the vanilla ice cream base.
  • In another bowl, combine 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of whole milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, chopped chocolate, and cocoa powder. Heat the mixture in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. This will be the chocolate ice cream base.
  • In a third bowl, mix together 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of whole milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and strawberry puree. This will be the strawberry ice cream base.
  • Pour each ice cream base into separate airtight containers and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until completely cold.
  • Once the bases are chilled, pour each flavor into the compartments of an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Layer the churned ice cream flavors in a freezer-safe container, alternating between vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry layers. Use a knife to swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
  • Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until the ice cream is firm.
  • Scoop and serve the Neapolitan ice cream in bowls or cones, and enjoy!
